A Holistic Approach

Let's face it.  Diets suck.  They never last, they leave you feeling like a failure, and ultimately, they do more harm than good. After years of honing in on WHAT WORKS, I've developed a holistic approach to health and wellness, firmly grounded in Ayurveda and ancient healing traditions, that helps you unlock what makes you tick. There is no one-size-fits-all answer in health. A lifetime of health, vibrance, and joy in a balanced body won't reveal itself to you in a quick fix, a video, a book, or a fad.  Together, we must unlock the eating and lifestyle habits that will strengthen and empower you with ease, and identify the practices that are holding you back and keeping you stuck.

 

Food is not the only problem, and another Diet is not the answer.

 

So much of the time, we eat not because we're hungry, but because we're stressed, sad, tired, or bored. To get real, lasting results, we have to look at effective ways of dealing with stress, prioritizing self-care, enjoying supportive relationships, engaging in movement that you actually enjoy, and creating a fulfilling career in line with your dharma (or calling). These are essential forms of nourishment, which play just as big a part in your health as what you are or are not eating. When your life is in balance, your health follows suit!

What is holistic health counseling?

Do you ever wish you had a health expert you could talk to, who really took the time to get to know and understand your body and life?  Someone who was a holistic nutritionist, health counselor, life coach, and confidant all rolled into one? That's exactly what I provide for my clients.

 

Together, we analyze your health and personal goals in depth, and develop a customized plan to help you achieve them.  We draw on Ayurveda and accessible ancient healing practices to help you attain your ideal health and weight, reduce stress, and increase energy.  We help you to start living the life you really want, all the while breaking negative patterns and behaviors that keep you STUCK.  You come out with a new relationship to food, your body, and your self, and a greater understanding of how to be happy and healthy for the rest of your life!

What is 

Ayurveda?

Throughout my nutrition studies, I kept coming back again and again to Ayurveda. After just a few months of practicing an Ayurvedic approach to eating, I lost 10 pounds, had more energy than I'd felt in years, and felt my body truly coming into balance, all without dieting, trendy supplements, or confusing calculations and ratios.  

When I began to incorporate Ayurvedic herbs custom tailored to my dosha (body type), my health transformed. I knew then that this ancient healing modality was pure magic.

 

Simply put, Ayurveda is the science of life -- an ancient (arguably the most ancient) form of natural medicine that treats every body individually and holistically.

Through identifying your unique state of doshic balance, we are able to discover the exact foods, herbs, lifestyle practices, and forms of movement that will bring you into balance in all areas of your health and life.

Gone are hours spent Googling new diet trends or trendy supplements -- through Ayurveda we are able to find the perfect practices for your unique constitution, treat existing health concerns, and prevent new ones from popping up.

In my years of practicing holistic nutrition, I have never encountered a more effective and intuitive approach to true, lifelong wellness.
